The Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) Technician typically works on repairing vehicles which have been involved in accidents or vehicles that are being restored, such as Camper Vans, Classic Cars.  The main role of the MET Technician is to identify damaged MET components, remove and refit these components before and after body repair work has been carried out.

During the training programme,  an Apprentice MET Technician will gain the expertise not only in the technical elements of their role but learn the practical and theoretical aspects of mechanical, electrical and trim.  The Apprentice MET Technician will learn excellent telephone, customer handling (including how to handle difficult customers and deal with customer disappointment) skills and strong problem solving and self-organisation skills.  MET Technicians must be able to work as part of a team but also operate independently.
